Another learning

ICT 10 Third Quarter was okay for me because I'm listening to the lessons and instructions of our teacher. Especially in our lesson about Web Designs. As part of our lesson Web Designs, different activities were given to us by our teacher. I enjoyed doing those activities by following the instructions of our teacher.
There are some problems and challenges I have encountered during our ICT 10 Third Quarter. In doing our activities about Web Designs, everytime I try to check or try to see my activity there is something wrong about it.
While doing our activity, I tried to go back or read again those instructions so that I can see my mistakes and also I tried to ask for the help of my classmates.
Moving on, I will alaways listen and follow the instructions of our teacher and I will manage my time wisely in doing my requirements.

Spirit of Christmas

Christmas, the special season, season of joy, of peace, of love, of great tidings, season that everyone of us lives. A season when we celebrate tha birth of Jesus Christ our savior.
Christmas is not just about giving and receiving gifts, having parties or a time for festivity. It is more than that. It is a time to reflect on the true essence of the season which is the love of God for humanity John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gsve His only begotteb Son, that whosoever believeth in him will not perish but have eternal life." The Christmas Spirit is a spirit of giving and forgiving. As the saying goes "It is better to give than to receive." Forgive those people who had done bad things to you. Rrmive those hatred and bitterness insude your heart. Christmas is also a season of sharing, not just gifts but love. Share your love to everyone just like how God show his love for us. And always remember to thank God for all the blessings He had given us, ask forgiveness fot all the sin we have done. This is the true essebce of Christmas.
Jesus is the reason why we have this season.

Stop Violence

Violence are everywhere. Almost all victims of violence today are children and women. To stop this, the government made a law, the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004. This law aims to protect women and their children from any kind of violence like Sexual Violence, Psychological Violence and Economic Abuse.
The Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 or the Republic Act 9262 is very helpful to the victims. The one who will do any act of violence to women or children will be punished. It will help them to fight for their right. This will serve as their voice to speak for themselves.
This law was made to protect abd help women and children from any act that can harm or hurt them but we must always remember that we can also protect and help them. If we see victims of any kind of violence, we must help. We must help each other. "Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world of one person."

Preserving the Environment for the Future

Environment awareness means being aware of the natural environment and making choices that benefit the earth, rather than to hurt it. Some ways to ptactice environmental awareness is to use safe and non-toxic building supplies, conserving energy and water, recycling, activism and others.
Environmental awareness is very important because it advocates a sense of connection to the ntural world and it promotes sustainable development and encourages conservation of irreplaceable natural resources and vulnerable plant and animal species. Environmental awareness essentially serves as an education tool, helping people around the world understand the economic importance of preserving resources and reducing the harmful impacts of man-made conversion.
This month of November is also the Environmental Awareness Month. We need to practice and apply environmental awareness so that our environment will be preserved for the future generations.

Filipino Values

Filipinos are bonded together by common values and traits that are taught at home and being applied in our daily lives.
There are many good values and traits Fikipinos have. Filipinis are family-oriented. filipinos are known for having strong and close famuly ties. They prioritize their families over others. In other countries, when a person turned 18, he or she can live away from his or her family, but in the Philippines, they value their family so much that they stay with them through the years. Filipinos are respectful. Some ways to show their respect is to us "Po at Opo" "Pagmamano" and calling their older siblings or elders "Ate o Kuya." Filipinos re God-fearing. Although we Filipinos have different religions, we always put God in the center of our lives. And the most popular Filipino Value is that Filipinos are very hospitable. When they are expecting visitors, they will do a lot of preparations for good entertainment and accomodations so that they will feel at home and enjoy the stay.
And in this month of November, we are celebrating the Filipino Values Month. This will help us keep ourselves together as one people of one blood.

My Super Teacher

Teacher's Day, a day to thank our teachers for their sacrifices care and love for us. A day to remember that they are not just our teachers but our second parents.
But everytime our teacher's tell story about themselves I still have a question in my mind "What do teachers do?" We all know that the first goal of our teachers is to educate us, their students. A great teacher love educating students, and one of the principal goals many teachers set for themselves is to be the best educator they can be. A teacher also inspire students. Teachers seek to inspire students in all aspects of their lives, and for many teachers, their greatest goal is to be a role model. A role model is someone who inspires and encourages students to strive for greatness, and teaches them through experience and commitment how to realize their full potential to become the best they can be. Teachers also learn from their students. Teaching is one of those careers where you learn something new every day, and many educators cite this as one of the main things they hope to get out of their career. When a teacher says their goal is to "make a difference", this is what they mean. They not only want to change the lives of their students, they want to change the face of education.

Happy Schools Movement

Happy Schools Movement or the HSM is a movement which advocates to promote that every school should be a better abd enjoyable place to learn.
School is a second home. Home means an enjoyable, happy place where you can live, laugh and learn. It’s somewhere where you are loved, respected, and cared for. Home is also where your memories hopes and dreams are. But how can you consider the school as your second home if you are uncomfortable with it, if you cannot enjoy or be happy or if you cannot live laugh and learn in that place? That is why the Department of Education launched the Happy Schools Movement. The movement seeks to promote every school as a better and enjoyable place to study or learn. According to some researches, a positive school climaye can decrease absenteeism, suspensions and bullying. Likewise, it increases student's achievement and motivation to leaen and improve their psychological well-being.
Let us all support the Happy Schools Movement to have a better and happy place to learn. It's more fun in Happy School.

Buwan ng Wika

Buwan ng Wika is an annual celebration of Filipino as the national and widely spoken language in the Philippines. Initiated by Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF), it is celebrated every month of August and this year's theme is "Wikang Katutubo: Tungo sa isang bansang Filipino."
Philippines is a unique country for it has 130 dialects. Can you imagine how Filipinos understand each other? Out of the 130 dialects, Philippines has only one official language and that is the Filipino language. Buwan ng wika is celebrated to preserve our own language and to remind us that we need to preserve this for the next generation.
"Wikang Katutubo: Tungo sa isang bansang Filipino." Filipino as the National language is a bridge of over a hundred dialects all over the country that will enrich the Filipino language. Respect and love our own language.

New Knowledge

Learning is a part of our lives. Everyday we are learning. Everyday we gain new knowledge. And that is the best thing in life.
During the first quarter of our ICT 10, I have learned and discovered many things. Internet is the first thing I've learned in our first quarter of ICT 10. I've discovered the history of internet, on how internet was improved from time to time, the beginning of internet up to the present. I have also learned the "Web log" or the "blog", the different kinds of blog and the best thing I've learned is how to make my own blog.
I have encountered problems and challenges during our ICT 10. First of all, I am not that kind of person who knows very well about technology and the internet. I just know a little bit. Another problem or challenge  I've encountered is that doing my own "blog".  It's a challenge because I am not good at expressing my thoughts.
During our discussions about internet I try to understand it very well. The handouts given to us is helpful for me and also with the help of my classmates I've understand it. In doing our own blog, I try to read and research about our topic and I also ask for some help from my classmates.
Moving on, I will get ready for the next lessons. I will listen carefully during our discussions. I will try to be strong if I will encounter challenges and problems. I will never stop learning.

National Resiliency Month: “Kahandaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro Para sa tunay na pagbabago.”

We all know that because of the topographic location of our country is the reason why we are experiencing natural disasters. Philippines is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire that’s why we are experiencing earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Beside Philippine island is the Pacific Ocean where typhoons are originating. Natural Disasters are uncontrollable and unpredictable but we have one thing to do and that is to be ready.
Natural disasters are uncontrollable. We don't have supernatural power to stop it we can lessen the loss of properties and lives by being ready. That is why it is so important to put time in planning and preparation before the disaster strikes. Disaster preparedness refers to the preventative measures taken to reduce the disaster effects.
In order for us to be prepared before a disaster strikes here are some ways to do before a disaster; For typhoon: Have emergency kits and survival packs prepared these should contain medicine, cash, important documents, whistles, and extra clothes. Store food and clean water enough for three days. That’s two gallons of water per person per day. Prepare candles, flashlights and extra batteries in case the power goes out. Listen to the radio or watch TV for news updates. For earthquake: Make sure you have a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, a battery-powered radio, a flashlight, and extra batteries at home. Learn first aid. Learn how to turn off the gas, water, and electricity. Make up a plan of where to meet your family after an earthquake. Don't leave heavy objects on shelves (they'll fall during a quake). Anchor heavy furniture, cupboards, and appliances to the walls or floor. Learn the earthquake plan at your school or workplace.
If you stay ready, you won't have to get ready.

Live a healthy life

We all know that Nutrition Month is celebrated every month of July. Every year there are different themes but it all aims to promote a healthy life. This year we all celebrating the 45th Nutrition Month Celebration with a theme “Kumain ng wasto at maging aktibo, Push natin to!”
Eating healthy foods is a good thing but is it enough to have a healthy life? Well if I would answer that question I would say no. Eating healthy foods is not enough to have a healthy life, we also need to do some exercises and sports. Doing these things will make us healthy and at the same time it will make us physically fit.
Many of us loves to eat but sometimes we don’t remember our limitations. Eating too much is not bad as long as we do exercises to burn the calories in our body. If there are people who loves to eat there are also people who skip their meal which is not a good thing for it may lead to ulcer or complication in our stomach. We should always eat our meals especially breakfast as we all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Eating too much nor skipping meals is not good. Eating properly will make our life healthy.
We also need to be active in doing exercises and sports. Being active in physical activities will reduce the risk to have cardiovascular diseases. When we are doing physical activities we are burning the excess calories in our body which is good for us. Do physical activities actively so that you will not die early
`           Eat properly and do some physical activities actively.

National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

Being ready with everything is a very good characteristic a person should have. Being ready makes your life easy.
National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill is a very good decision by our government. This is very helpful for us. This is the best preparation for us in case of disaster specifically earthquake. Participating in an earthquake drill means we are getting ready with the disaster that we or we may not expect. One of the reason that we have this National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill is to prepare for the Big One. The movement of the Marikina West Valley Fault may cause a 7.2 magnitude earthquake or more. From this Earthquake Drill loss of lives and other casualties can be prevented.
It is better to be safe than be sorry. As long as there is still time, prepare for a disaster. Your life depends on you.

Letter to Mr. President

June 13, 2019
Dear President Rodrigo Roa Duterte,
            Good day Mr. President
First of all, I would like to introduce myself. I am Jasmine Nicole Raposas from Brgy. Tamorong, Sta. Catalina, Ilocos Sur. I am a Grade 10 student of Ilocos Sur National High School and a proud Filipino Citizen.
I am writing this letter to tell you that I’m so amazed for what you’ve done this past 3 years. I salute you for your accomplishments as our President. You’ve changed our country in so many aspects. But to be honest Mr. President, there are decisions or things you have that I don’t like. The first thing that comes into my mind when I’m thinking about the things that you’ve done that I don’t like is that you’re not paying that much attention for Human Rights. From what I’ve observed, you’re just setting it aside. You don’t give that much importance to Human Rights because the only thing on your mind is your goal. I hope that one day you will find other solutions about the Drug Issues in our country. I am also concerned about the issue that you are against the Philippine Church. I would like to say that I am a Roman Catholic. I am a proud Roman Catholic Filipino Citizen who supports her President with the things that can change our country. I hope that you will continue your good works for the next three years of your term.
I Hope Mr. President that you will hear my voice as a Filipino citizen and as a student who is concern with other people.
Thank you very much Mr. President.
Respectively Yours,
Jasmine Nicole R. Raposas

Blood, Sweat and Tears

Independence Day, June 12,1898. This is the day that brought happiness to millions of Filipinos after being colonized by the people who wants to own our country. This is also the day that our flag was first raised. This is the day when we achieved freedom yet it leaves us scars and painful memories of the past. The day to remember the sacrifices of the people who fought for our freedom.
Celebrating this day is very important for us, Filipinos, because this shows respect to our country, flag and to our heroes. We should be very thankful to our heroes and our ancestors. We know that we cannot thank them by words but we can thank them by remembering their good deeds and respecting them even if they are not with us today. Celebrating this day means respecting and not forgetting the people behind this Independence Day. As Filipinos we should always be proud of them.
I am proud that I am a Filipino. I am proud that I have ancestors who sacrifice their lives for our country and the reason why we have this kind of life today as Filipino. I will not forget them. I will respect the Blood, Sweat and Tears of our ancestors just to get freedom. I will never be ashamed that many lives were sacrificed just to have freedom yet I will be thankful that we once had brave ancestors and heroes who fought for us. I know that I can’t never be like them but I will always raise our flag and be proud that I am a Filipino.

With God all things are possible

Giving up is not in my vocabulary. I will never give up until I get something right. Striving to get something is what I want. I may have difficult times in getting what I want but I will always try to be strong, positive and I will always remember that God is with me. There is no substitute for hard work. Never give up. Never stop fighting. Believe in yourself that you can do it no matter what. "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."Matthew 19:26
